In 2030, the distant Republic of Ek-Ek-Ek endures its leader’s megalomaniac frenzy, he prefers to defend the inaccurately glamourous image of his country rather than worry about the suffering of his people. In a goofy neon maelstrom alternating musical scenes resembling decadent music videos and archive footage of the 1986 revolution, Khavn delivers a biting satire of the Filippino political scene, which he considers desperately static. The title EDSA is an acronym referring to the largest avenue of the country. It was the central stage of the aforementioned revolution, that lead to the fall of dictator Ferdinand Marcos.
