The young Irina isolates herself for a few months in the Finnish Taïga for an unconventional summer job. In a seemingly peaceful clearing, she enters a self-sufficient community, with no connections to the outside world. As days go by, Irina discovers the underside of a scenery, out of which emerge gruesome mores and well-kept secrets. Straddling thriller and horror movie, this first feature film by Roope Olenius becomes the pretext for an ecological parable where the wide-ranged excess of these hillbillies enlightens us on the matter of the industrialization of our society facing a meaning crisis.
