Today, it is impossible to listen to distorted electro without him coming to mind. In the early ‘70s, Rev revolutionized experimental electronics by creating an analogue, dissonant, electrifying sound which laid the foundations of synth punk, industrial and techno-pop. With his ten-dollar synth and a drum machine, he undermined the punk era with Suicide, dodging axes on stage while opening for The Clash or playing electropunk in art galeries. Solo, the “cyber-crooner” performs serial sound demolitions to the “psycho-modernist” visuals of Divine Enfant.
